This session will address one of the most critical ingredients for getting anything done: communication. We will focus on principles and practices for presenting your thoughts confidently, respectfully, and effectively. We will examine common HR issues and how the Language of Leadership impacts each. These familiar circumstances can include creating a written proposal, having a difficult conversation with one person, sparking forward movement on a stalled project to a whole team, addressing an elephant in the room with your leadership, and a dozen other daily occurrences that are anything but “ordinary”. The principles and practices discussed will apply to everyone – no matter what role you play in your organization.
Measurable Objectives:
- Discover the direct connection between communication and leadership (getting things done, achieving your goals, etc.)
- Discover why presenting strong and positive communication – whether spoken or in writing – is vital to your organizational and personal success
- Discover approaches for a variety of common, but difficult, leadership situations
- Receive encouragement and inspiration to accept the role of “Communicator Leader”
- Learn from and be inspired by the successes (and failures) of others
